The pigment paste is made by grinding pigment with resin between rollers. Because the pigment is very well mixed, often only a small amount of pigment paste is needed to color the resin or gelcoat. For coloring thin layers of gelcoats, it is often necessary to add a larger amount of paste, but this can significantly affect the parameters of the cured resin. The recommended amount is up to 20%. A larger amount should always be tested with regard to the possible change in the strength of the future product.
