Epoxy Resin LH 289
Epoxy resin LH 289 is characterized by extremely low viscosity. During curing, it offers high-quality application properties such as optimal mechanical properties, good chemical resistance, excellent thermal properties, etc. It is suitable for the production of composites as well as a topcoat for artificial stone. At normal storage temperatures, crystallization does not occur. A key advantage of the resin and recommended hardener mixture is its clarity. Special properties: The resin remains clear even at temperatures of 0 - 10°C, without clouding as seen in some epoxy resins. The resin with hardener creates a low-viscosity system before lamination, allowing for good wetting while simultaneously expelling bubbles from the laminated surface. The working time (so-called pot life) is approximately 15 minutes to about 5 hours depending on the hardener used. The temperature resistance of the product without significant changes in its parameters: > + 50-100 °C. Processing: At temperatures between 10 °C and 50 °C, all common processing methods. Laminating resin systems for curing at room temperature. For curing at room temperature from 10 - 30 °C, various combinations of laminating resin and hardeners can be applied. Thermal resistance of 40 - 60 °C can be achieved by curing at room temperature with a curing temperature of + 30 °C = maximum thermal resistance. The thermal resistance of these systems can be increased to approximately 90 °C through gradual tempering at 50 - 70 °C. Usage: Glaze for stone, stone walkways, composite products - parts for boats, sports equipment... Recommended system for creating stone walkways LH 289 + hardener H 536 (mixing ratio 100:35 by weight, pot life 50-70 min). The mixture is mixed with dry aggregate to create a continuous coating on the stone surface, and then applied with a trowel to the concrete surface. More information available upon request and in TL. The laminating resin system LH 289 and hardener H 289 provides a smooth and glossy surface. It can also be colored with pigment. Tip: Ideal hardeners are H 505, processing time 25 min, epoxy:hardener=100:27, advantageous price. H 146, processing time 50 min, epoxy:hardener=100:30
