Polyester Resin Havelpol H 834 - REA 30W
!!New formula - different resin color!!
The polyester resin H 834 is a medium-reactive thixotropic, pre-accelerated resin with controlled exotherm and low shrinkage. It is designed for the production of boats and other composite parts, suitable for both hand lamination and spray application. It has a high HDT of 95° C and excellent hydrolytic stability, i.e., resistance to water. It features good mechanical properties and excellent fabric or mat wetting ability. It contains a minimum of 66% non-volatile substances. Significantly lower values can be achieved than those required by existing or proposed regulations. This reduction in styrene emissions is achieved without any loss of interlaminar adhesion. It has the following advantages: fast lamination curing, allows increased production speed without loss of surface properties due to shrinkage. It enables a reduction in the time typically required for additional post-curing. Because it allows for faster mold turnover, it saves on the number of molds needed. It ensures good resistance to osmosis and reduces blister formation. It exhibits good physical properties. Approved by Lloyd's Register. The table lists typical properties and parameters: tensile strength MPa 62, modulus of elasticity GPa 3.9, shrinkage % 2, flexural strength MPa 97, flexural modulus GPa 4.1, thermal resistance °C 95, viscosity cps 550, thix index, 6/60 3.5, styrene content % 34, geltime, 100g minute 30, 1.25% Butanox M-50 total curing time minute 42, peak exotherm temperature °C 145. The resin must be ordered with peroxide K1 (or Butanox) in a ratio of 100:1-3 (by weight). This resin, along with HAVELPOL 4 (clear), is suitable for the production of ORGONITES. Color: brownish.
