HAVELcell P1 - Polyesterová pěna pro výrobu sendviče
Reinforced white foam based on orthophthalic polyester resin. It has a viscosity similar to that of a filler, is thixotropic, and does not run even at a thickness of 5 mm. The foam is suitable for creating sandwich structures directly in the mold. By using this foam, you can significantly reduce the cost of your products, as the price per liter is lower than that of resin, and production from this foam is up to 40 percent faster than traditional layering of mats or fabrics. Another advantage is lower peroxide consumption and reduced styrene evaporation. The system is designed to be diluted with styrene or technical acetone as needed. The cured product can be processed much better compared to traditionally layered laminate. Products made from this foam have lower shrinkage and are significantly stiffer than products made with PVC foams like Herex, honeycomb, or balsa. Due to its composition of closed microspaces, it exhibits low absorbency and is lighter than water. Even a laminate composed of 1x200g/m2 glass fabric + 1.5 mm HAVELcell P1 + 1x200g/m2 glass fabric floats. Therefore, this foam is also suitable for boat manufacturing, as even when completely submerged in water, the boat remains above the surface. The foam is applied with a brush, notched trowel, or special roller. However, the best results and time savings can only be achieved with a special application device with a pressure pump and mixing gun. To enhance the effect, we recommend covering the foam with a mat or fabric soaked in resin before curing. The pressure applied during soaking must be proportional to the applied layer of foam so that the foam is not displaced. In the case of application with a special gun, the foam can be allowed to cure; the foams can be easily regulated after applying the last layer of fabric with a smooth trowel. It is ideal if the resin used to impregnate the covering layer of the mat or fabric cures later than the foam. The bulk density is 700-900 kg/m3. For curing, please use Butanox M50 or Peroxide K1 in a ratio of 100:0.5 - 1 by weight (not included in the delivery). For larger parts, it is better to use Butanox M30 or K 12 peroxide. Peroxides can be ordered in the Polyester Resins-peroxides department.
