HAVELPOL - 4
HAVELpol 4 is a clear yellowish unaccelerated polyester resin. To cure, it is necessary to mix in two additional components: Accelerator-cobalt and Catalyst-peroxide. The resin is suitable for hand laminating transparent parts with high durability and UV stability requirements, but is primarily suitable for casting orgonites or embedding objects. Recommended dosing: Sl.A Havelpol 4...resin. Sl.B Accelerator-cobalt 1% by weight..........add 0.5-2% by weight. Sl.C Catalyst-peroxide (ButanoxM30, ButanoxM50, K1).......add 0.5-3% by weight. The curing of the resin is a reaction that generates a large amount of heat. You can influence the heating process and the reaction speed primarily by adjusting the amounts of component B-accelerator and C-catalyst. Generally, the smaller the addition, the slower the reaction. For casting orgonites or layers thicker than 5mm, we recommend keeping the addition of accelerator and catalyst close to the minimum. Recommended workshop temperature is 18-22°C. Tip: a heating mold can be cooled or conversely heated to accelerate the process for smaller products. We can modify the resin for a slower reaction based on specific requirements. For additional information, please feel free to contact us.
