If pumps are used in areas where the air is not dust-free, such as in a workspace where workpieces are processed, e.g., by grinding, it is recommended to equip the vacuum with a particle filter (R&G Vacuum Filter / Universal Filter 390 105-1 / 390 108-1). Otherwise, there is a risk that dust or fine chips will settle between the diaphragms in the vacuum pump, significantly reducing suction. In such cases, the pump must be returned to the manufacturer for repair. New diaphragms are often installed afterward.
